Decided on a blued Kimber Pro Carry II yesterday. Didn't plan on it but hell it's handier, thinner and lighter than my SigPro that I carry. It's going to be a long while before I can run it through it's paces (work work work).

On a side note, I've found my gun purchases have been tending to be goin towards lighter more carriable guns (last three have been SigPro 2009, SW Model 19, and Kimber Pro Carry) and eliminating my heavier guns (sold my pair of Witness Carry-Comps and gave the CZ-75 to the lil brother). Anyone else do this in the first year and a half they started carrying?

Here are a couple of rather poor shots of the Kimber (will try again tonight).

I have had my Pro Carry II since Dec of 2004 - great gun. I have had no problems with mine (internal extractor).

Those are VZ Gator Grips.....I got mine from Brownells.

I shot a few rounds thru the standard Kimber mags without issue.

I have shot quite a bit with the Wilson Combat magazines I use now.....without any issues. The Pro Carry II has a aluminum frame and their can be issues with magazines with sharp, protruding followers. The can "ding" the feedramp......I prefer the Wilsons because the follower is polymer and this is avoided.

I have also shot a few rounds with some Chip McCormick Shooting Stars, this is the only time I have ever had a failure from my pistol. Failure to feed in the middle of a magazine. I hear these are great magazines so I overlooked the one failure.....but I will stick with Wilson Combat magazines for carry use.

Thanks for the reply.

If that's the case, I'm glad I passed up on CM mags when I first purchased the gun then. I'll give Wilson a looksee.
