difference 35 rem and 35 whelen

whats the difference in these 2 rounds and can the whelen be chambered in the remington. any help is appreciated
 
No. The 35 Whelen should only be chambered in rifles marked as such, same for the 35 Remington. The 35 Whelen is a 30-06 brass necked up to 35 cal. The 35 Remington's brass is quite a bit shorter.
 
The 35 Remington is a smaller cartridge than the .308 Winchester. The 35 Whelen is a 30-06 necked up to 35 caliber.

There is no way they can work in the same rifle.
