Difference between Marlin 925 and 980

Can anyone tell me the difference mechanically between the Marlin 925 and 980? Other than the 980 being available in stainless, I don't see any difference.
 
i would say, weight, sites, bbl contour , and stock shapes. otherwise, i would say the receiver/action/trigger are proly interchangeable.
 
Interesting. Do you know why they made it a separate model number? For the other Marlin bolt action .22LRs, it seems that there is something a bit more that distinguishes the models from each other. The 915 is a single shot, the 981 is tube fed, etc.
