What is the difference between the Sig trailside competition model with 6" barrel and the Sig trailside target?
The price difference is dramatic. From what i can tell the comp model comes with anatomical grips thats the only difference.
I held the comp model this weekend and instantly fell in love, but $599 is a steep price.
The same store was selling a beretta 87 target for $519. I was also impressed with these weapons

The primary difference, aside from the grips, are the adjustable front and rear sights. The rear sights ONLY are adjustable on the mid-grade Trailside.

The more expensive model has the front and rear adjustable sights.

So the Trailside target and competition models both have the front weights?

The Competition model has a much heavier front weight. It is made of chromed steel, whereas I think the base models' weights are plastic or aluminum.

The base model has a "weight" that's plastic and weighs next to nothing. It's more of a placeholder for a real one (can get them from Larry's Guns, but not cheap), and, of course, it keeps the gun together.

Note: a couple of years ago, the mid-range "Target" models came with adjustable sights and the nifty laminated blue and gray wood grips. The "Target" models now have the same cheap plastic grips that the plinker models have, but they still have adjustable sights.
