I have an older 3 position collapsable stock for my AR that has given me yeoman service over the years and have been thinking of updating it as of late to the newer 6 position ribbed stock that currently seems to be all the rage.
My question is whether or not the increased cost is worth the benefit? Other than sexy new styling and a greater range of adjustment does the newer style offer any other advantages that are not apparent to the eye? ie. does it offer increased surface area for a more solid stock weld?
For those who have or have used both styles please give my your input.
Thanks!
And YES this is for a pre-ban rifle lest anyone get the wrong idea.
Is it worth upgrading to this?
