Digital powder dispenser for pistol

Using the Pro Auto Disk with 6.2gr of AA#5 (9mm) is spot on, but the inconsistency came when I switched over to 5.2gr of HP-38 (.45) and went to the micrometer charge bar. I probably should have stuck with the disks, but I had the micrometer and figured I'd use it. Today, I was initially getting a few 5.5gr charges (I weigh every fifth one at least), but then things settled down and I was getting consistent 5.2’s. I've heard that before about the charge bar not working well with charges of 5gr and under, so I'll probably be junking it when I switch over to Bullseye after one last pound of HP-38.

BTW, I've decided against the dispenser/scale combo that my original post was asking about. Thanks to everyone.

I am going to disagree with almost everyone here and say I LOVE my RCBS Chargemaster Combo unit for pistol rounds. I use a Lee turret press as a single stage because I would rather be accurate than fast when reloading same as when I shoot. The Chargemaster is perfect for me, by the time I get a bullet seated in the case the Chargemaster has the next load set up for me perfectly with either HP-38 or Unique depending on if I am loading .45 or .44 or 9mm.

I don't know that you can equate accurate and slow (non-fast).
Accurate is accurate and slow is slow.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to equate the two. I just meant that my Chargemaster Combo is much more consistent than my Lee Perfect Powder measure was.

A somehow don't think my Hornady LNL progressive press wouldn't be at its full potential trying to use a digital powder dispenser. Its rotor powder dispensing system throws within .1gr. Simply screw in or out slightly, for a bit less or more.

Put away that plastic cheap measure and get yourself a good rcbs, hornady, or lyman and youll find that your dispensor doesnt do one iota better with ball powders
