Are the Dillon cabide sizer dies for .223 and .308 worth the expense? I understand the cases must still be lubed, so what advantage do the carbide sizers in these rifle calibers offer?

Long wear for high volume users.

The market includes commercial loaders, gun clubs and agencies loading for multiple users as well as high volume range or school use.

It is often worthwhile to at least spray lube even straightwalled pistol cases when using a progressive. Lube reduces effort and smooths operation for powder measures and priming on a progressive. It's not necessarily for the best to have one case in the circle being forced into a tight dry albeit carbide sizing die.

Buy yourself a set of great dies. Get Redding and then add the carbide expander ball to the set. Great dies from a great company!
