I've got a SDB that's binding up on both the up and down stroke, with our without any of the loading process going on. Any quick fix? Otherwise I'll call Dillon tomorrow.

Check all of the bushings in the handle/fulcrom assy. sometimes they get dry and start to bind... I had the same problem with my 550B. If this is the case, grease is your friend... you might get away with not having to buy a new press. Aluminum gets REALLY gummy when it gets dry!

take out the priming system (3 cap screws) and see if that does it. If not unhook the arm and slide the ram out from the bottom, I've had trash get between the ram and corner bushings before. If all else fails send it back to dillon and all you'll have to pay for is the shipping to them.

Good advice, sometimes a primer or one of the pins will drop and bind it up. If that doesn't work call Dillon.

SDB Binding Update

Problem solved.

I called Dillon and they walked me thru removing the bushings and lubricating as well as applying grease to all four corners of the lower assembly.

Thanks for your advice. I also need to look at that alignment of the feeder.

Thanks

??? Dillon products have a life time warranty - you do not have to be the original buyer.

Better yet, for a modest fee, you can send your machine back and Dillon will rebuild it. I sent back a SDB and it was just under $30. Any worn parts are replaced, everything greased, all settings checked.
