I wonder if Katrina had some influence in putting this kit together?

I bet a few people would have benefited from it.

Kit contains:
SW9VE (16+1 Rounds)
Waterproof Hardigg® Storm Case
Crank Radio and Flashlight Combo
Pocket Survival Pack
Light & Fast Trail First Aid Kit
Emergency Food for 4 People (for 3 days)
12" x 12" Waterproof Document Bag
Water Purification Tablets
44 Mag Multi-Tool and Case
(4) Space Blankets

Not too bad, but IMO they need to replace that horrible subcaliber, overweight-trigger-pull thing with a real sidearm (read: 5" 1911)... ;)

All in all, a good idea. If they offered customer's choice of weapons, or the assembled package minus weapon as a separate option so's ya could furnish your own, I'd be a little less restrained in my praise...

Now let's see the price-tag.

Or any other decent autoloader, really.

Did anyone else think zombie survival kit when they saw that, btw?

Awfully bulky and run-by-stealable case, though. I'd prefer a backpack. For a showy kit, it's also missing things like a GPS and PLT.

And my "emergency kit" gun is a Sub 2000, which can fit in anything when folded up. Carbine beats pistol. :D

I tried shootin one of those S&W's and couldn't hit a 3"x3" square at 7 yrds and neither could the person who owned it. I drew my Colt 1911 and put all 7 in the hole :D Thank you Mr. Browning

thats odd. I have used the sigma E models several times in getting new shooters ready for the CCW class and I find it to work just fine. More accurate than a Glock, cheaper to buy and very reliable. The biggest downside is that if you need more mags than the 3 supplied, you are looking at a big price tag.

I agree that i would not have outfitted the kit the way they did, but I would not slam the weapons part of it.

I had one of those pistols once, it was not one of my better guns, I traded it for a Glock and couldn't have been happier. Not one of S&W's best in my humble opinion, although maybe they improved them since when I pwned one.
