Friend and I were discussing the theories behind the springs in my Sig P229 .40S&W. If I increase the power of my recoil spring from 16lbs to 19lbs, then the felt recoil axis will lower into the frame and reduce muzzle flip, and cause for faster cycle times. This will require a stronger magazine spring to compensate for the faster reloading times. Then decrease the hammer spring from 24lbs to 20lbs to reduce trigger pull, which will inherently increase accuracy. Is this line of thinking correct?
