Sig vs Glock

"...... the Sig was like a highly tuned sports car compared to the Glocks which felt like a worn out pinto ...."

+1 to that. One of my roomates in college had a glock and I had my p229. They were both .40 S&W and they were both reliable, but they sure didnt shoot the same. When we went to the range together the groups from the Sig were always about half the size of those from the Glock - and it didnt matter who was shooting which gun!

I find it highly suspect that simply cleaning could change the POI 1 foot.

Hmm I was just thinking that the rail might be a good thing on this gun , cause I can get a Bayonette lug welded to one of those flashlight mounts. And then my P220 will be a good defensive weapon. When it jams I can just use the bayonette. Or heck it could be a combination paper weight and letter opener.

I can proudly tell all my friends that I have the most expensive paper weight letter opener combination tool availible.

Lovin My SIG:cuss:

Still waitin for my extractor.

If you are trying to ascertain the intrinsic accuracy of any firearm by shooting it "offhand", you'll never be sure if the good/bad accuracy is the product of the gun or how good/bad your shooting is on a given day. It wasn't just the poi vs poa the original poster was complaining about (different shooters can produce good groups with the same gun but consistently in different areas of the target) but he was reporting having abysmal sized groups.

The only sure way you can determine how accurate the gun is (as opposed as to how well you shoot) is to test it from a stable rest with an experienced shooter at the helm (a Ransom Rest is preferable if one is available). Only after establishing the gun's capability is it possible to know how capable you are with the gun.
