If you had to pick one length of barrel and one choke for all your shotgun needs, what would it be? No choke tubes, just one choke. No extra barrels, just one barrel.

I came up with 26" IC.

Am I the only one who uses a full choke for everything? Kills birds/clay pigions "extra dead" at close range and still allows for a dense pattern at long range.

Make mine a 26in full choke

I am opposite of most people here, I like and do reasonably well with shorter barrels.

My choice would be a 22" vent rib barrel, double beads, with modified choke (screw in choke tubes would almost make this perfect)

Regards,
Rob

I'd go for a 24" screw-in choke barrel (i.e. turkey-gun length). It's long enough to swing better than a slug barrel, but short enough to be handy in tight situations (e.g. home defence).
