hahaha

I was looking for a deal on some Crimson Trace carry grips for the Officers, and I snagged these flame jobs!

Also ordered a couple of Virgil Tripp's, 7 round mag's.

I think I might just end up carrying this little heater.

Aargh... That's like one's wife asking if a pair of pants make her byootox look fat. NO ONE is going to be truthful to you!!

The above state... Oh, no dear, your frame looks great in EVERYTHING it wears.

Nah, it looks fine IMHO. I'd like a set of nice wooden grips BETTER, but these are still "normal" looking enough as to not appear gaudy. The really pad ones are the ones with teh skull and crossbones, or hazmat symbols and such.

I think mother-of-pearl (be it real or just the pattern applied) or other mostly white/grey grips look a bit goofy too, but anything wood-grained or mostly black works for me, so long as they're wood or plastic. Basically any hard material - as much as some love them, I've found that I really, really don't like rubber grips on a pistol.

Some scratches and holster wear should fill it out nicer. Swing by your local VFW and chuck it at thier display tank a few times. Turns out that dropping it down a flight of stairs isn't very authentic looking.

(you might have to donate some green paint if you get caught)

Not my personal taste, but if you like it, that is all that matters.

true

I've had a hard time finding a deal of CT Officers grips, period.

So, I settled for these flame jobs cause the price was right.

I LIKE IT! but yes flames (though, those are pretty subtle) are hard to pull off. If you decide you don't like them, I'll buy them off you for (insert absurdly low price) ;)

Grips

What You couldn't find any in chrome???

Seriously, they are pretty subtle. Maybe a little black stain or ink would work if you can't get used to them.

Haha, to bad you couldn't etch in "who's yo daddy" instead of those serial #'s

They really dont look that "flamey", looks rather subdued to my eyes. I think it (the pistol in total) looks good though.
