If you buy stuff off of Amazon.com you might as well do it from AmazonSmile. They donate part of the purchase price (0.5%) to a charity you pick. Info from their site:

"What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. You can choose from nearly one million organizations to support"

I've given to the Wounded Warrior Project and now give to the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund. There's millions to choose from. Pick your favorite!

Been using smile for a while. It used to be 1%, did they reduce it?

I'm supporting the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund with every purchase.

The Second Amendment Foundation let their members know about this and I tagged all our accounts to contribute to them.

My first on line purchase was from Amazon in 1999. The best run site on the web,IMO.

Thanks for the information,Jeff.

I just wish their internal search was better. Trying to filter to narrow your choices is often an exercise in frustration.

I like buying from the because they have a couple of huge distribution centers here in KY, so stuff ships lightning fast. The downside is that because they have a KY presence I have to pay the 6% sales tax.

I do like using Smile to redirect a little of the funds to a cause I think is worthy.

I was kind of surprised to hear they have pro 2nd Amendment organizations on their list, given their donation of gift cards to the Seattle gun buy back a while ago. I was expecting worse news.

I've consistently shopped with them since at least 1998. I wasn't aware of this feature though. Thanks for the heads up.
