Do you carry for Halloween?

Somewhat similar to the tactical loadout topic, but I wonder how many fellow Highroaders make special allowances for this holiday, if at all and why. For that matter, is there another holiday you you tend to make special exceptions for? Is it all the idiots running around?

On a side note, it's the only time of year I get to wear my kimono and haori. Having a a real katana on the hip in my obi makes one feel all kinds of secure when idiots wander by between the trickertreaters. I imagine a firearm does the same.

I carry myself straight to my recliner, remote in hand, doors locked with something cold to drink on one side and a usually a 9mm. on the other....same routine as New Years Eve. And if I'm lucky there's a good football game on TV. What more could an old man ask for?

2. I carry every day. Nothing different about this one.

I carried as I alway do, but I also had a long gun nearby, which is a little more than I have on-hand on a regular basis.

Which turned out to be a good thing, as the local PD's helicopter started to circle overhead about 8:30 last night.

Close door, lights off, time to end it, kids. I like Halloween, but I ain't answering a knock on my door with the cops actively looking for someone in my neighborhood.

This is the one night of the year when people can walk around in residential areas as well as public places wearing a mask and no one questions it.

I carry everywhere I can, as often as I can. Halloween was no exception. That said, just like anywhere else there are so many pedestrians (mall, etc) there is the additional risk of so many innocents potentially in the line of fire. Still better to have carried and had the option than not, but actual ability / decision to pull use it in the case of need would have been tempered by such risk.
