You have to better define "stockpile".
I have .. approximately..
11,000 rounds for 50 BMG (AP, API, APIT, FMJ, tracer - I bought a trailer full right before Talon went Kaput)
3,000 rounds 7.62x39
2,000 rounds 5.45x39
3,000 rounds 5.56 NATO
2,000 rounds 40 S&W
around 1,500 rounds of 9x18mm
5,000 rounds (usually) of 45 ACP
5,280 rounds (just purchased so I know exact count) 7.62x54R
1,800 rounds (just counted) of 5.7x28mm
2,850 rounds (just counted) of 308 (yugo surplus)
250 rounds of 7x57
250 rounds of 7.5 Swiss
50 rounds of 45 Colt (I reload as I go on those)
*0* rounds of 8x57mm (need to load more!!!!)
2480 rounds of 7.62x25 Tokarev, which is odd, as I don't own a gun in that caliber.. (Leftovers from gun shop)
50ish rounds of 300 Win Mag (I reload as I go on those)
150ish rounds of 22-250 (I reload as I go on those, too)
So around 36K rounds of ammo, give or take. I also have some oddballs and on the pistol calibers I'd need to do a count, since those fluctuate. (I shoot 400-500 rounds a weekend, so I load 5K, shoot them until I'm low, load another 5k)
Do I have "enough"?
Hell no.
(Except for 50 cal. I think I have enough 50 cal.)
Not a "stockpile" by MY eyes, a lot thinner than it was back when 7.62x39 was $80 a case and you could buy surplus 308 and 8mm for 10 cents a round.
