About 17-18 years ago I had a real room, but then a we moved and the basement in the new house wasn't finished yet. I "staked-out" a corner (13x15) as my gun room / man cave but of course I was never happy with it because it's just a corner of the basement. Over the last 30 or so years I've accumulated a lot of stuff. I reload, I've built AK's & HK's from DIY flats & kits, Mausers from stripped receivers, not to mention AR's ... and of course then there are the safes and it was open for any service/repair man to see because that's where the furnace is, the hot-water heater, the electrical panel and we were still finishing the house.
So now, once again I have my man cave, my domain ... It's only 10x15 but it's mine! Plus I have a good sized "closet" where I can keep my safes. Once I got my repair bench, reloading bench, cleaning bench & other stuff in, I realized how much room I lost but at least now things aren't just sitting out in the open ... or packed away in so many boxes. Now I just need some "art work" for the walls ... I've got a poster size "blue print" of an M-16 receiver and a cut-away view of an AUG ... but they are pretty big and other than my peg-board wall, I don't have a lot of wall space left.
