Do you have any gun that shoots itself?

Back when I was around fourteen I did. lolz

"I was cleaning it and it went off." :neener:

But really it's not so much the gun as it's more like I'll have days where all the fundamentals just come together easily.

Sig 1911 Scorpion 4.2"

I've had a couple 5" 1911's in the past and they were okay for me, but the Sig is like an entirely different gun. I've owned something like 18 handguns and this one is in a league of it's own. Despite having the shortest sight radius of my centerfire handguns I easily shoot it the best. Heck, I can shoot circles around my Ruger mkII target with it......that doesn't even make any sense!

I actually don't like my Sig 220 very much. It suffers from the same problem that my W. German 226 did in that it shoots way off point of aim. Really reliable though.

Both my Gold cup and Briley 1911s will make almost anyone look good

Ok I'll bite......my Glock 21 is that way.
The sights line themselves up, the gun just punches my hand, and the bullseye gets another hole in it. We had a range day at the office with prizes to the top shot. I felt bad about taking the prize because it was soooooo easy.
Ditto. Due to price of 45ACP, I hardly ever shoot it. Everytime I do, I think I could go pro, if I wanted. :)

Last range session, I was plinking beer bottles at 60-75 yards with a rifle. Not that that's a challenge, or anything. After shooting a few of a new reload, it seems my scope setting went off, or maybe my bore fouled up. Miss, miss, miss. So I pulled out the G21 for kicks and was in for a surprise. I hit around 1 shot in 3, going 3 in a row at one point. Big smile!

I've a hunch it's the wide grip and longer trigger reach. The meat on my trigger finger stays in contact with the side of gun, all the way through the break. This is supposed to be a bad thing, but it sure doesn't seem like it. When I dryfire it, the sights don't move, at all, time after time, and yet the trigger is very predicatable and easy to drive at speed. Grip angle (SF) is great, too. It's somewhere in the middle between a 1911 and a G19. I feel like the tighter I grip the Glock 21 and the harder I lock my wrists, the more still the sights and more comfortable the grip. There's no such thing as too tight. OTOH, some of my thinner gripped guns with straighter grip angles, I have to "caress" a little to get the most stable sight picture and/or trigger break.

I'm in the market for a G20SF, to see if the magic also works for 40SW handloads.

Both my Walther's in 9mm (P99As and PPQ). I've had a Taurus PT-99 and -92 that way, too. Also had a Colt Peacekeeper in .357 (wish I'd have kept it) that was a real nail driver with what seemed like little effort on my part.

I too thought this was a political thread. I do think some gun manufacturers shoot themselves in the foot (pun intended) by not offering certain configurations that would be very easy to do.

Surprisingly, my pump action shotgun. Half the time I barely notice I'm pumping it. Not really a handgun, but its what I would say.
