Do any of you guys like to doodle and draw guns? I've been doing this a lot at school lately, and I'm getting a lot of  's from other students. I love drawing guns- I think it's important to say that when I draw guns, I draw only guns- I don't draw someone using them to shoot another or something, cause I think that would be disrepectful. But I've always found it challenging to draw guns, due to the angles and various mechanisms involving it. I always find it fun to draw a gun, especially 1911 types.

I'm no artist but ... have done this in past. My preferred ''draw'' is howver .. outa the holster.!!

Gotta say tho ........... the way political correctness has been goin these days . woulda thought you were ''takin a risk'' doin that ..... seems like these days anything remotely gun oriented in schools can mean expulsion!:(

I used to draw guns constantly in middle school and high school.

No one paid attention back then. If a kid draws guns now he is probably expelled and sent to an institution.

I can remember as a kid drawing guns constantly.I use to write short stories too, they were usually short on plot and detail, except when it came to the firearms everyone was using....then it was REAL specific.:D
Sometimes I still find myself doodling a gun now and then.Usually when someone puts a happy face on something I am compelled to either have him holding a gun or being shot.(maybe I need professional help:D )But i think it's funny.

Bah!

I love drawing guns, swords, axes, hammers, skulls, etc. It all works so well together. They always look better with some hot chick holding them too. Here's a little sample of my work. I did this piece during a trig class back in high school in the early 90's.

I've done a ton of stuff over the years and posted my favorites on my page. A lot of the really good ones have been given away to my friends though. Oh well!

Feel free to check out the rest of the page too. My gallery is under the MY ARTWORK link on the menu.

Enjoy!

Yohan, how can you post a thread like this with no drawings posted along with it?:cuss:

Post a couple of your best! If they're really good, I'll print em out and put em on my war room wall...

This is the gun part of a drawing I did when I was younger... umm, a few years ago. :p Don't really draw much anymore, and obviously I'm not all that great at it in the first place, LOL.

It started out as an M9, but ended up too small. So I took off the barrel that extends past the slide, and turned into some sorta strange compact model. :)

Bah again!

I should've made her topless so you wouldn't notice the flaws in her stance...

Ok... I feel bad...

I don't have anything more, shall we say "interesting" than the pic I posted. So I went digging a bit and found this one. This one is by a artist named Brom who does all sorts of evil fantasy stuff. Anyway, I tried.

Back in high school, senior year (1990), I went to State and took third in drafting for my oblique exploded view of a 1911A1 Colt .45.

Gave it to my dad.

I designed a revolver once when I was a kid, it was self-cocking and I know it would have worked because later I saw a picture of it in a gun magazine. Only they had labeled it incorrectly and called it the "Mauser Zig-Zag Revolver". Talk about past royalties due.:uhoh:

Don't feel too bad, telewinz. In junior high, I independently originated the idea of the centrifugal clutch. Then I found out they'd been in use for years.

Back in high school I did a fair amount of sketching. Motocycles, guns, people, etc. But I stopped sketching and found years later that I'd lost my ability.

There was a study (can't remember where) that said that if you don't use your drawing abilities for x period of time, they're gone. Anyone familiar with that?

BTW, Labbinac, that's a good sketch. Hands are difficult, and you did pretty well them. You get a B+. ;)

Apparently, drawing guns can be linked to being in a gang (***) and the administrators can expel me from the school for drawing "gun related crap". :cuss: :banghead: If they catch me, I'll say "Ok- look, this is 1911 .45 with a banana clip! And this- this is like a 12 gauge shot gun, except it's got a cylinder. A revolver shotgun? Where would I find such a thing and how would I be able to afford it? What is wrong with you? And would gang members even be able to afford this Thunder Ranch Las Baer? and this- this is a gun that doesn't even exist! I mean look at it! It's like an uzi, except it's been extended and it looks like an M16A2- or is it a Skorpion?" and that's when they'd really lock me up.

If the font used here on the discussion board was a fixed width one (such as Courier) as opposed to a variable width one (like Arial), it would look like a picture of a 1911.
Sort of like this:
Code:

(at least that was my interpretation - correct me if I'm wrong Yohan)
