A friend gave me lots of Hornady 250gr, .452 dia., (#4520) jacketed HP's and I don't have a Long Colt but I do have an SA-XD 45 that I'd love to load for.
If I keep the O.A.L. to the 1.275" or less and load light so as not to get a compressed load, should that work?
Hornady told me that I can load either .451 or .452 dia bullets but that the #4520 was made for the colt revolver and he didn't know if I'd have a feeding problem or compressed load problem.
I can't find any load data for the 250gr XTP bullet in the .45 ACP either.
Can anyone help me out here?
