I've conversed with a handful of well known gunwriters over the last several years and they've all told me they're always hesitant to get into these discussions when they come up. Because people have their opinions, usually based on prejudices and conspiracy theories pulled from thin air, and will never be swayed by the truth. Now I completely understand why.
Bottom line is that you guys don't have a clue what you're talking about, obviously have some personal issues and I'm not your momma. Though I do feel like I'm arguing with 10yr olds.
As far as getting everything you need to know on internet forums. I'll challenge any of you to find as comprehensive a writeup on any firearm as you get in a magazine article. Just as with any credible magazine writeup, it should include the following:
-A full photo layout with closeups that shows you the gun & key features in clearly focussed & well-lit images.
-Any developmental or actual history of the gun for newbies or anybody else not familiar with it.
-In-depth commentary on features and operation.
-Qualified commentary on how these features stack up.
-Comments from people involved with the gun at the factory.
-Shooting results at standardized distances with between 4 and 8 different commercial loads off a bench.
-Chronograph results.
-An identifiable name & face out there for the entire world to see, not some anonymous "Sir Iluvgunsalot" forum monicker.
You won't. About all you'll find basically amounts to "got one, love it, you should buy one". Which is just basically what you want to hear.
