When you reach 65 and are on Medicare you will receive one annual doctor visit covered by Medicare. Part of this exam is a 3 page Medicare Health Risk Assessment questioner with many stupid questions. One of which (#36) is about guns in the house. There are 63 questions plus alcohol, depression, obesity and of course STDs. Examples are : Do you have rugs in the hallways, grab bars in the bathroom, handrails on stairways, proper lighting and others. Have you had more than 2 sexual partners? Use protection? Is the exchange of money involved? How old are your partners? Same sex? I could go one but you get the idea. The first time I was handed these 3 pages I asked for a blank copy and scanned 3 pages and had a discussion with my doctor about the intrusive nature of this. She has CCW and we discus firearms frequently. When the Medicare exam comes up now they do not even mention the form again. I think we have reached an understanding. Your tax dollars at work!
