I have a couple SAKs with locking blades. One uses a slide switch, but that is an old one and I don't know if that system is still used. The other is a Wenger evo-grip style that I don't recall being a liner lock. I will have to try to locate it to confirm. Their heavy duty knives use back locks.

Edited to add this review of the evo-grip lock system. Reviewer is not a fan, but it is not a liner lock. https://morethanjustsurviving.com/victorinox-evogrip-s18-swiss-army-knife-multi-tool-review/

I have carried plenty of fixed blade knives over the course of my life. Many were open carry, since once you get above a certain size it is impractical to try covering it with a shirt. The fixed blade knives that can be carried concealed are getting much better. The two most recent small, fixed knives I carried were the SOG Mini Instinct, which will likely never be carried again. And the Kabar LDK as a neck knife.

I find it usually kind of difficult to carry a fixed blade knife in my normal dress because after you fill your pockets and add your belt holster and gun, you start running out of real estate. But I like carrying small fixed blades while I run. I've used an Emerson La Griffe like that for a long time and am looking to change to a Hinderer wharncliffe LP1 with a Utiliclip.

For the last 15 years or so, before I retired, I carried this. Every day in uniform. The sheath was attached to a keeper. The knife rode blade down, roughly horizontally behind my gun belt. The lanyard was tucked between my belts. It couldn’t drop down. The handle was concealed by my mag pouch. I could access it with either hand.

I was on vacation in Branson Missouri. I realized I was an hour and a half from Bob Doziers shop. I called and asked what they had in stock. They had this Model 6. I didn’t even know what it was, I said I’d take it, see ya in a couple hours.

Turned out to be perfect for my use. I took off the original belt loop. Finally wore out the original sheath. Made another.

I’m so glad I went. Bob was an absolute pleasure to hang out with for awhile.

I carry a Gerber Yarii 2 tanto point in my backpack at work because I don't have a CCW permit. Honestly the state I live in is deep blue now with a terrible Red Flag law, I don't want the state to have a record of carrying a gun.

However its ok to have a consealed handgun in your car because, at least for now, its considered an extention of your home. I carry either a Ruger SR22 or a 9mm depending if I am parked at work or out for the day.

Its gonna get bad in my large metro area because the state passed a law that allows every municipality to have their own gun laws. This will make for a "Russian Roulette" for gun owners traveling through the metro area.

I've been known to carry a fixed blade, though I am never without a folder, where legal. My prejudices against liner locks are pretty well known in this forum.

I almost never carry a long arm, even though it's legal lots of places, either. o_O

I've been carrying my buck 192 for bout a week now. Trying out a holster I modified. Riding higher, it's comfy. I'm going to make a own boot knife style sheath for it I think though for the times I have to conceal carry.

I carry a Blackhawk Besh Wedge neck knife whenever I’m walking or biking. An AG Russell fixed blade bird knife is on me whenever I’m on the water.
Would an automatic knife solve your problem?

For the past decade or so, Ive been carrying an issue Brit F/S Commando. Its job-specific PPE, as are the couple of folders I usually have on me as well.

Prior to the Commando, I carried mostly carried a Gerber MKII or on occasion, a Blackjack 1-7. Both of which have become somewhat collectible and hence more valuable. The Commandos are readily available, reasonably priced, and easily replaced. The others, not so much anymore, at least not the good ones.
