Does Anyone Here Still Carry or Shoot DA/SA?

Took this one out to the range the other day. I don't carry it, but would be comfortable doing so if I needed to.

That's the pistol I carry concealed more often than not. The 6906 is the pistol I toted in le after we transitioned from revolvers and I can personally attest to its superb record of reliability (the attribute I value most when relying on any firearm for self-defense).

S&W 6906 for me too, but not for CCW, at least not yet.
I shoot it and like it alot, but with all of the other options out there these days, I went with smaller, and higher capacity.

Another lover of them here.
I don't hate striker-fired guns like I used to--they finally started getting better--and my carry guns are either DA (LCP) or striker (Ruger SR9c or CZ P-10 C), but I still respect the Ruger P series, 3rd-gen S&Ws, and CZ makes my beloved modest-but-refined 75 series.

I have two DA/SA guns these days: a SIG P229R and a CZ P07. I have carried the SIG a few times but the primary reason for getting it was for home defense. The P07 was because it was hammer fired and I liked that you could change the trigger set-up from DA/SA to SA by swapping out the decocker with a frame mounted thumb safety.

I only own one pistol that isn't DASA and that is a cold war era SAO. Maybe I watched too many action flicks as a kid where the hero runs around with a Beretta 92 but I just can't get myself to care about striker guns no matter how I try. Training out the trigger transition was pretty simple. I do a 2x2 drill where I start from concealment with the gun decocked. Draw and fire two shots, reload and fire two more. Train all the basics in one drill. Adjust par time, target size, and distance based on skill level and range restrictions.

If you still carry & shoot one regularly what is it?

Beretta M9 for competition. Springfield Armory XD-E for EDC. You couldn't pay me to own a striker fired gun. So, unless and until DA/SA guns are no longer available because they've been completely replaced by striker-fired guns, (and I believe that day is coming), I'll be carrying a DA/SA gun

I greatly prefer hammer fired guns. I like them steel and wood. My only striker guns are a pair of Taurus PT111 G2's and a Canik TP9v2. The rest are all DA/SA with the exception of my DAK Sig P220, and my SAO Jericho 941. Favorite of them all, this one, a Tanfoglio "Mossad", smooth as wet glass:

If it's a CZ type gun, I'm all in.

My 3rd Generation 5900 Series, Model 915 I bought new in 1992. It was my duty weapon for a few years. Still love it. I wouldn't trade it. Easy to carry wearing winter clothes. Shorts and a T-shirt in summer... not so much.

I've been keeping my eye out for a summertime gun like a lightly used or safe queen Model 3913 or Model 908. Those are also 3rd Generation DA/SA, but a little more concealable.

To my mind, 3rd Generation S&W autos were perfection. They were built with the best features of S&W 2nd Generation, like the 669, 559, etc, which are also great guns.

I've got both styles of the original factory grips, but it's wearing the same Hogue rubber grips I've had since shortly after I bought the gun in the pic below.
