I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if IDPA declares a smith and wesson SW40F as Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) or Standard Service Pistol (SSP)?

My XD is currently out of commission and was going to use my Dads SW40F for this weekends match.

The Sigma is classified as a DA pistol, so if it has no modifications, it is SSP

Thanks guys, but I'm not shooting this match. I tried the SW40F last night and didn't do to well. Mentally I knew I was shooting a different gun, but mechanically my body didn't.

    The XD went Kaboom!

Well it was good to go see how you shot with the Sigma before the match, I have never been able to shoot one well, but that's not to say that others can't.

Hope you get your XD back soon (or a replacement ;)), and get back out into the competitions!

I can't hardly stand it, I want my XD back. It will be less than $100 to repair. Would buy another, but just bought a Benelli and found out my wife is pregnant. No more gun purchases for a while.

I'd rather stay home than shoot a Sigma at a match!
