I just shot my 1st IDPA match this Saturday. I had a great time! I shot the course with my Sig P220 38 Super(SSP class).

Does anyone know of a "Master/Detailed List" that someone(from anywhere ie; here or other forums) has put together to show what guns((make & models) how they are classified by each class(SSP, ESP,CDP) of the IDPA?
example; I know Glock in the SSP class and is the mostly used and pefered gun to shoot. But where does the HK USP45 Tactical fall in(I figure it falls into the ESP class guessing by the IDPA Rulebook)?

There is not a master list. You pretty much have to read the rules and decide the best as you can. It is,as you know, based on caliber, action, size and weight.

Some guns can be shot in more than one classification but I am not familiar enough with your HK to say for sure.

Maybe someone will come on and tell you for sure.

H&K Taktickle can shoot in about any IDPA autopistol division:

It is a .45 ACP so it CAN shoot in CDP, loaded 8+1.
It can get to a double action start (can't it?), so it CAN shoot in SSP, loaded 10+1.
About anything otherwise permissable CAN shoot in ESP, loaded 10 +1.

Have fun.

Like Jim said it's action can cover all divisions, does it fit in the "box" and how much does it weigh?

Catalog specs say it should fit The Box and make weight.

That said, I don't think I have ever seen one in action. There is one guy in our club who has gone through several standard and compact USP variants, but he is the only USP shooter I know of.

It definitely fits in the box and make the weight. I can't decide what to shoot at the next match. It's a toss up between my Sig P245 and USPc40.
