The Ruger SR22 seems like a good candidate. It is very close to the size of the LCR22, is only 3 ounces heavier, and reviews (SR22, LCR22) show both have about the same DA trigger pull, with the SR22 having a substantially lighter SA trigger pull.

My wife has severely reduced grip ability following hand surgery, but she has no difficulty racking the SR22's slide, controlling the trigger, or managing recoil during extended shooting sessions. Her particular SR22 has proven as reliable with a variety of ammo as my Ruger Mk II and III pistols.

Can you test a trigger on a centerfire LCR before you decide? If the trigger is ok to her then the 327 with 32 longs would be a consideration.

LCRx 327, load it with S&W 32 and cock the hammer to get SA. Sights maybe a laser grip though they are not cheap

I know your looking for a semiauto, but seems like your requirements (to me anyways) scream airweight 22 revolver. Good trigger, decent capacity, super reliable, and with a long DA trigger it is pretty safe. Still have SA for slow aimed shooting as well.

Big fan of the Beretta 21! Feed it CCI Mini Mags or Stingers and it’ll pop along just fine. I agree the sights aren’t great, but it points well and Crimson Trace grips are available. The pop up barrel is really great for people with hand strength issues.

Just got myself a 21A (Bobcat) a couple of weeks ago. I haven't shot it yet, but I think I'll like it. I already have a Taurus PT22 that is solid-reliable; I hope the Beretta does as well.
