I have a good crisp letoff with minimal overtravel on my two MK2 bull barrels. I'd like less takeup though. Can the Volquartsen be adjusted for this? Can any aftermarket trigger for my MK2s be adjusted for this? Thanks.

You might ask the tech rep at Brownells. I recently put in a Volquartsen kit into an older pre-Mk. II standard auto, but installed the Clark steel trigger which I preferred to the Volquartsen. The trigger pull is much improved--probably the best of several of these guns including a Mk 514 Target.

I suspect that the reset is going to be about the same length as the disconnector needs a fair amount of travel for its function.

This has been my finding as well. I believe that the Volquartsen trigger's internal demensions are the same as the stock trigger ("internal" meaning the part that is inside the frame.) I don't think you can make that trigger behave like, say, a S&W M41 trigger. It's a design issue.
