Does your carry rig change with the seasons?

Currently it's one holster, one gun, all year round. The only time I might switch it up is if I make my EDC double as a woods gun in which case, I'll get a different holster for open carry.

Nope, never.

As GEM notes, should weather dictate bundling up, makes it easier to add an Airweight J-frame or P-365 to a pocket.

I've carried full-sized SIGs, Glocks and K-frames in Arizona and Florida during summer months. A good moderate or high rise pancake holster can conceal anything short of a Desert Eagle. Yeah, it's good to be middle-aged and older so fashion isn't a consideration.

I'll dress around a gun; I won't concede to gunning up around how I dress.

I adjust my guns to the threat level more than to the weather and also the extra amount of ammo will depend on the environment.

I regard it being 0 to 20 below as part of the 'threat' constellation. The folks in TX who don't face that (I used to live there and could usually wear clothes that allow easy access to the gun) really have it 'easy'. My heavy weather gear would not allow access to the typical belt set up in real time or without negative weather consequences.

BTW, I've read a lot of TX or FL posts where folks argue for a pocket gun with limited capacity as primary because it's too hot to wear a cover garment. That's modifying carrying for the environment.

At one time it did, but no it does not. I am a Ruger gut. I carried a LC9 II for deep concealment usually based upon weather. I carried a LC9s for moderate concealment, and I carried a Security 9 compact when I did not give a damn about printing. I sold my LCP Ii. I am giving mt LC9s to my daughter-in-law. I now do it all with the Security 9 in different configurations. I have posted an image showing the difference in mag lengths, which is what drives deep concealment.
A It’s 15, 10 pinky, 10 flat base. I going to sell the 10 round mags.

Always the same. I hardly ever wear more than a thermal shirt under a hoodie unless it's below zero.

I did, however, carry a slightly different set-up the other day. The full size .38 Super in a DeSantis Cozy Partner IWB, only because the brown holster matched my suit better. I hate weddings.

I'm one who would rather be cold than warm. So normally I carry IWB with a p365, 12rd mag. In winter when I know for a fact I'm gonna have an untucked unbuttoned flannel shirt on all day, I go with my Kimber 1911 Pro TLE II... Would like to carry it all the time but I can't really hide it...

If I am not ever going to change my carry gun.....
.....then why do I have so many of them?
Is that a rhetorical question?;)
I have several "carry guns" myself, yet I almost always carry the same ol' one. And I know why - it's because I dream (or "fantasize" if you want to call it that) of carrying a different gun. Every once in a while I actually picture myself (in my head) being some place with whatever gun I'm shooting at the time tucked safely behind my right hip, Yet in the end, I just put that gun back in the safe (after cleaning it), because my real carry gun is already "tucked safely behind my right hip.":)

Generally no.
I don't often use my inside the pants appendix carry holster. Just not comfy for my fat ass.
I almost exclusively carry with an outside the pants holster at the 3 o'clock.
One thing is, I don't carry my little back-up in an ankle holster with shorts in the summer... lol.

I moved to the G32 in .357 Sig but took out the P226 in .357 Sig and my Kimber Pro Carry .45 ACP today for some range time. Gotta admit, I miss my Kimber. Kinda leaning towards putting the G32 back in the safe and carrying the Kimber.

Yes, - nuance - my belt based gun stays the same. However, with blizzard level weather, I will add a light weight J frame to my heavy weather jacket pocket. Getting to the belt gun with a below zero jacket would be rather slow.

Oops, you got me. I do this sometimes when it gets cold enough I need to keep my winter coat zipped.

Nope, G48 all day, every day. Unless dress requires the Ruger LCP, which is always a compromise.

I guess the only other change would be when hunting, then the G40 MOS gets the nod.

Lenny - as OC isn't legal in IL-ANNOY, this is something of a moot point.
That being said, I have a custom made leather rig in "buscedero" style that I would wear during colder weather so I could break it in and get it more flexible. I also have nylon holster that I sewed straps and buckles on to approximate the same low-slung nature of the leather rig. Being nylon, it didn't really need "breaking in" but I did wear it around the yard a few times to get the feel of it during the summer. The nylon isn't adversely affected by perspiration the way the leather would have been.
