on my sp 101 3 of the chambers lock up fairly tight, much less play than when the hammer isn't cocked back, the other 2 chambers however have just as much play after locking up as before.

all 5 chambers lock up with noticeably different tightness.

what is going on here?

*EDIT* fixed the problem, had to disassemble and reassemble it and now it works fine.

*EDIT 2* problem is back

ok so the problem is back. it locks up real tight on one cylinder, pretty tight on another and then relatively loose on the other 3. will buying a new cylinder fix this or could it maybe be the pawl on the trigger assembly? what should i do? i have already contacted ruger and am waiting for a response.

Mine does that with a couple of the chambers to a small extent. I've just never worried about it because it is still very accurate and doesn't spit any lead.

i contacted ruger and they said they would fix it. i'm sending it in tomorow. luckily i have a backup revolver i can keep with me in the meantime. i was looking for an excuse to use it anyways

This is Ruger's problem. The lock up on all chambers should be the same, they are on my SP101. Send it back to Ruger. They will make it right.
