Don’t know why

You'd have to be finding yourself around with a white cane to see "beauty" in this affront to good taste.
There beautiful in the engineering sense, as in " how complicated can we make this and have it still work?" But wear and maintenance concerns aside, I'd love to shoot one. The low bore axis makes sense to me, and they feel good just handling it, so I'd try it out. Still not sure if I'd own one though. That's mostly price driven I guess...

I picked one up at the exchange at wright Pat afb a few months ago in 9mm. It was 30% off of the exchange price. I probably wouldn’t have bought it otherwise although I’ve wanted one in 357for a while. I’ve been really happy with it.

I had a 20ds for a while. Great gun. But not sensible with short barrel. The 20ds is a gutter sight gun too big for pocket carry but built to be pocket carried. I traded into it… and monetarily traded VERY well. I did like the gun though and have looked at the 6” guns extensively. They aren’t visually appealing but not all guns are. Like most things, there’s a tradeoff between looks and function. I wouldn’t ask Paris Hilton to cook me a meal, but I wouldn’t be flirty with Roseann Barr either. Same for these guns. The low bore angle thing is a thing. The muzzle doesn’t rise much at all and the recoil impulse is different. I suspect that long distance shooting would be considerably easier than a traditional revolver due to lack of muzzle flip.

"Why" assumes you need a reason which is contrary to 99% of advice given on this forum. Want is good enough reason and like you said you've got all the bases covered already.

Gunny it's because you can. So really the question should be why the hell not? Semper Fi.
I would have to say that 60% of the time I buy a gun, is just because I want it. The other 40% is due to need or it just being a deal that is to good to pass up.
I recently bought a PSA Dagger and a second Taurus TX22. I bought the Dagger just because I wanted it. Even bought both size frames. Did I need it? Hell no, I’ve already have three Glock 19’s, a Glock 45, a 19X and two P80 builds.
The Taurus TX22 was on sale for a great price so, I picked it up. Might give it as a Christmas gift to someone this year.
But I never let the want for a gun, out weight everything else. Right now I’m having a lot of fun turning wood bowls and other things so, upgrading my turning equipment is a little more important to me right now then adding a new gun.
Now this doesn’t mean that the Rhino is off my want list, it’s still there along with a Sig P320 Carry, and a few others.

I don’t know why, but I’ve been wanting to get one of these.

Don’t ask me why, because I really don’t know. They look funny and cost a lot.
PSA has it on sale right now. Its been a while since I’ve seen one in 357 6”.

That grip looks awfully small to me... Is it some kind of optical illustion because of the configuration of the rest of the gun?

Having been able to handle Johnm's Rhino I thought it felt pretty good in the hand. Yes they are bizarre looking and the internals are complicated, however if ya want one and can buy it why not? Go for broke Gunny!
