+1 -- Avoid Don's. prices are double (really they are) what they should be.

Try Plainfield Shooting Supplies ( 3735 Shady Ln, #C, Plainfield, IN, my favorite shop) on US-40 (Washington St.). they have the best prices anywhere. And Bradis Guns on Hwy 67 (6939 S Kentucky Ave, Camby, IN).

WOW. A gun shop, in one city, is SO BAD that a thread about it on a national, check that international gun forum stays alive for 3 days without a bump. Now that's what I'd call a really bad gun shop!!!

And FWIW I would not have added this post (as if to bump) had the most recent post not been an hour ago.

Unless you want to go there ironically, or just to get the experience of a gun shop run by the kinds of sleaze-balls that you only see in Hollywood, avoid Don's Guns like the plague.

It has been covered. Unless you want to see a really bad gun shop, DO NOT go to don's. Just not safe

I also agree with the assessment on Don's Guns. I've heard their prices are even more than MSRP. I can vouch for both Plainfield Shooters Supply and Bradis having given both plenty of business thru the years. Elmores on the south side ( technically Greenwood ) has a nice stock of long-guns, military type rifles and pistols as well, although I haven't made any purchases there. They do carry upper-end merchandise.
