DPMS M/A-15 Recon 5.56

Folks,

At a pawnshop I found a DPMS 'Recon' 5.56 with stainless barrel (looks like a light barrel, not a heavy military style) and a muzzle brake on the end. Has Buis and floating barrel. Perfect shape.

Are they good? $500 was all they are asking. No scope but it has rails all around the front guard. The Buis is even mounted at an angle and not on the top rails.

Thinking about grabbing it tomorrow.

The Recon is their flagship line. For $500, I'd get it. Its probably not worth the $900 they retail for though.

I was wrong.. It isn't a recon...

Went back and looked at it.. AFTER I PUT IT ON LAY-AWAY for, tax included, $541 bucks...

It's a DPMS 3G2 Competition AR-15!

I thought it was a Recon with just a muzzle break. Put it on lay away the day after I posted this. Then went back today and took a hard look.

Oh, and it comes with the case and one mag!

I will get a Izzy or something for a flash hider but....

I thought it was strange the Buis was off set, charging handle had a tab on the side for easier use, and the weird grip.....
