Dragon Skin Body Armor: Too good for civilians?

When a company decides that they wont sell to me even though they have no legal obligation to restrict the sale, that makes them an "anti" plain and simple.

So is Lockheed Martin anti-gun because they won't sell you a jet? Is General Dynamics anti-gun because they won't sell you a Stryker?

...frankly I couldn't possibly care less about what they did with my email.

It seems to me that you actually care a great deal about what they think of you, since you've posted stuff like this:

Lets take it a step further... perhaps this is another case of "Americans can't be trusted with that"

The implication in your statement is that you feel like they're judging you when, frankly, there are plenty of other legitimate reasons for why they aren't willing to just sell you a vest through an online store.

"LE/Military Only" sales restrictions should be ruled only by law
So you're a fan of the government regulating business very heavily eh? Sorry, but companies have the rights to sell only to people named Robert if they want to.

So, does the body armor that our military uses reliably stop 7.62 x 54R? I had no idea it was that tough.

I am thankful to not work in a condition where I would need body armour.

Thank you to those who do it for me. I do appreciate it.

Yes the body armor worn by modern combat troops, from ours defending liberty, to any troops imposing the will of a tyrant, include plates covering large areas which reliably stop a 7.62x54r and a .308/7.62x51 NATO.

That is where technology is. Technology only has a little further to go before almost all civilian legal small arms can be reliably stopped by body armor. A little more weight reduction or advance in synthetic materials and even greater protection may be achieved rendering legal civilian arms outdated relics in resisting tyranny or fullfilling the role of the 2nd Amendment.
As it is most modern armored vehicles can reliably stop the .50 BMG and even more powerful rounds. Especially with the low round count of semi-auto fire.
