I bought wooden grips for my Model 51 and 81 Berettas from KSD. I probably would not have bought them if I knew they were made in Turkey for political reasons.

The grips for the 81 were a simple matter of just swapping them out. The fit was perfect. However, the opposite was true for the 51 grips. It took me over an hour with a pocket knife and a Dremel to get them to fit. It looked as if they hadn't been through the final trimming step.

I'm happy with the looks although I may put a coat of Johnson's floor polish on them for a bit more shine.

I’m rather surprised that there are fancy after market grips for a 1951; it’s certainly not one of the more popular pistols.
Not knocking it - I have one and I am quite happy with it, crossbolt safety and all.

Those new grips really do make a nice difference in dressing up your surplus Berettas! I added a pair of wood grips to my Beretta Model 84 and they looked great on it!
