Driving up to Virginia to visit a college for my daughter with my family. Can anybody tell me if I can go thru all the states without a problem, I do have a cc permit, or is there a link to see what states reconize the Fla permit. Has anyone made the trip? I could not find a good link to answer my question.
Thanks and appreciate any help provided.

so... if South carolina has recently changed its stance, why do these sites not reflect that?

It does. Note the legend states "Florida resident permit only", meaning being a resident of Florida, SC honors his permit.

I kind of find this ironic. I'm planning a trip next year from VA to FL and would like to carry at least 1 pistol for defense.

I checked the other day and Georgia does not honor Virginia's CCW permit, but all of the other states do.

If you were me, how would you transport the pistol where it would be safe/legal through all the states without stopping and locking it up at every state line?

While driving through SC and NC, if stopped, you must inform the officer you have a permit and that you are carrying. (If you keep it between 6-8 mph over you should not have a problem.)

I'm not sure about GA & VA.

Just drive through GA and don't stop. Fill up in SC on your way down and you should be able to clear GA without stopping, it's only 100ish miles through GA on I95.

Car Carry is fine in Georgia without a Permit

You should be fine just follow the below to the letter:

only be carried in a shoulder holster, waist belt holster, any other holster, hipgrip, or any other similar device,
in which event the weapon may be concealed by the person's clothing, or a handbag, purse, attache case,
briefcase, or other closed container. Carrying on the person in a concealed manner other than as provided in
this subsection shall not be permitted and shall be a violation of this Code section.

Virginia has no requirement to inform.
