I just got done watching the 6 oclock news here in florida and there was a report about a home that was robbed in orange county. 5 guns were taken an ak 47 a pistol 2 rifles and a pellet gun. At the end of the report the anchorman anounces that they were trying to contact the homeowner to ask why he had such a large stash of guns. Those were the exact words. I already emailed the GM of the station and will post the response. wftv.com is the station.:cuss:

what would your response be?
"Sir you may not be prepared for the zombie invasion but I sure am!" :p

I think if anybody from THR were an anchorperson it would go something like "We are trying to contact the homeowner to find out why he only had 4 guns and if he needs to borrow one until they can get replaced."

I hope he gets them back.

M Response:

"The Second Amendment does not state any limitations or restrictions. Please, go read the Constitution, Sir. And get off my lawn."

Large Stash?

"Yes, I've been trying to cut back. Right now I'm trying to get rid of my large stash of tools. I have more than nine screwdrivers, four pliers, three side cutters, seven files, five hand saws, three hammers, a mallet, two corded drills and one cordless, a glue gun, four socket sets -- two of them in metric -- with extensions and angle adaptors, a pair of tin snips, three kinds of box-cutter knives, a linoleum knife, a carpet knife, a hatchet, three sizes of vise grips, two pipe wrenches, a dremel, four spackling knives, twelve paint brushes, six rollers, a sprayer, three paint scrapers, two metal tapes of different lengths and a 100-foot cloth tape, a staplegun, a nailgun, four crowbars, two bench vises, a large and small grinder, a table saw, a router, a drill press, two torque wrenches, a soldering iron, a soldering gun, two sets of wood chisels, two sets of cold chisels, and large and small plane, a set of sanding blocks, a belt sander, . . . what do you mean I sound like an amateur??"

Yeah.

Large stash.

I know golfers that have six times that many clubs.

5 Guns = Large Stash??? ROFLMAO!

Man they would have a heart attack if they saw what the Average Idahoan has at home.

A guy at work once asked me why I needed so many guns. I asked him why he needed so many golf clubs.

End of discussion..............

I'm with Arfin. I have WAY to many hand tools and power tools.

It's guns I don't have enough of. :D

If they called me to ask why I had so many guns I would tell them to go **** themselves, what would your response be?

HAHA, i can just picture telling that to a news anchor that called and asked why i had "such a large stash of guns".

I can also imagine them reporting it after me telling them they could quote me: "when asked why the homeowner had so many guns, he responded, and i quote, 'go **** yourself!'" :D Im sure a lot of people would get a kick out of that.

Geeze Arfin! What are you, some kind of tool nut? Why do you feel you NEED 3 sizes of vise grips? Are you planning on taking on all the country's carpentry jobs on your own?
Doesn't make as much sense when you put it in context.

Most folks with guns have more than 5, seems like that would be obvious. As for my response, well I would reply with a little Firefly commentary

Mal: "Jayne, how many weapons you plannin' on takin'? You only got the two arms."

Jayne: "Well I just excitable as to choice, like to have my options open."

Don't always agree with Jayne, but he certainly has his moments.

This is the response I got from th TV station , I really dont know what to make of it. Any opinions?

George,

Thanks for your email regarding our story last weekend on the stolen guns. After reviewing the script, I can see how you interpreted it as possibly questioning the victim's right to have these guns. That was not our intent. While he has the legal right to have these guns, what we were trying to answer was the question left hanging out there, as to was he a sportsman or a collector? Admittedly, we could have phrased that better to avoid the implication that it was wrong for him to have these guns in the first place.

Thanks for sharing your opinion with us, and thanks for watching WFTV.

That question is like "Does Arfin have all of those tools because he is a mechanic or a woodworker?"

The question is irrelevant and makes the homeowner to be at fault.

While he has the legal right to have these guns, what we were trying to answer was the question left hanging out there,

What moron was asking THAT question?

The media once again proves their "fairness"

Some poor guy is the victim of theft. The only questions are 1) Who did it? and 2) What are we gonna do with the scumbag when we catch him?

There are no other questions.
