I have become...curious about duracoating ACU pattern on some rifles and accessories. I understand that having it done for a rifle costs about $100, OR buying the basic setup for doing it yourself costs about the same. (I already have an air compressor.)
My dilemma is, I am not at all artistically inclined. My stick figures suck. Doing model planes as a kid, they were always fingerprint-covered catastrophes. I do NOT have a good track record for this kind of event.
My idea is, to get the kit, and start small and slow. Try it on some....expendable pieces of material until I get the hang of it, try some knives, and THEN move on to guns. (Cheap beater guns first.)
Is this a good idea or am I just going to have a lot of sage green blotches on my driveway?
