I looked at a EAA45acp with a "wonder" finish for about $450 today. Does anybody have 1st hand feedback for me?

I have a 10mm in wonder finish. It is my daily carry.

I had a few ftf's in the first 300 rounds. I upgraded the recoil spring to a 22lb (mainly to prevent battering of the frame with true full-tilt 10mm ammo), I buffed the feed ramp with my dremel with the felt tip and some buffing compound, and I upgraded the mag springs to wolff +15. This was all done during a three week period in which I shot the 300 rounds, in 50-100 round sessions.

Since that time, I have another 1500 rounds throught he gun, and have had 100% reliability.

Buy it!

I have a witness in 45,i love it.mine is black though.most owners report they are more accurate than many higher priced 45s.there are a few reports of cracked frames, primarily with the 10mm.i didnt take a chance and put in a heavier recoil spring.aftermarket stuff is limited.eaa,s customer service reputation seems to be mostly negative.i suppose being an importer and not the manufacturer makes some of that inevitable.i think they are alot of pistol for the money!

I bought a full size 45 in wonder finish. I bought a 10mm conversion for it a couple years later. No problems with either caliber. It is probably the most accurate shooter of all my semi auto centerfire pistols. I am very satisfied with the one I have.
