I was just wondering if EAA is still producing the compact model anymore? All I have found as a compact model is the polymer on and I was kind of looking for the steel with the wonder finish. EAA has them still on their website but every place I can find appers to be out off them.

Also, for those of you that have one, what are your opinions? Should I not waste my time, or is it worth trouble finding one. Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure Tanfoglio is still making them, but EAA is totally hit or miss with what they import. Go to their website and call their phone number. They'll tell you what the situation is.

You didn't say what caliber you were looking for, but a quick check on GunBroker found a steel frame compact Wonder finish 9mm:

I can say I'm a huge fan of the Tanfoglio Witness series. I have a full size steel and a Witness Match .40 that are outstanding firearms. No problems at all, very ergonomic, and amazingly accurate.

I have .22, .38 Super, 9mm, and .40 caliber conversion kits for them.

I have a Compact Witness that I bought in 10mm, but I also have a .38 Super slide for it. I personally prefer the fullsize Witnesses for shooting and I don't carry my Witnesses for concealed carry, since I have other pistols for that purpose.

Just as a matter of interest, I have Witnesses in the following calibers:

.22 LR
9x19
9x21
9x23
9x25 Dillon
.38 Super
357 Sig
.40 S&W
10mm
.41 AE
.45 acp

All of my pistols are steel frame, and of the older design. It's a very versatile platform.

Hope this helps.

Fred
