I am wondering too. This has been on their website for a bit of time, but I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere or what the price might be.

I think Charles Daly used to import them and call them the ZDA. I feel like i remember that they are a Sig clone, but i'm not positive. This is the most I know. Im also interested to see more responses come in.

Serbian Zastava CZ99
not a straight clone, some interesting differences.
immediately apparent to me:
- three dot sights
- simplified and more ambidextrous controls (decocker mirrored which also performs the function of the slide stop)
- some of the newer ones have a funky low ammo indicator mechanism which i have no hands on experience with

one of our members (hksw) has one. search it

CDNN is offering the ZDA in 9mm for $289.99 NIB.

This pistol is noted by being offed by Charles Day and an updated version of the CZ99 (page 14, CDNN volume 2007-5).

One of my students had one. Charles Daley import. I had a chance to shoot it as well. Great gun. Only came with one mag though. I am not sure if compatible with Sig mags or not, ? probably not. I am not sure about the availability of aftermarket mags or whether you have to order directly from EAA>. The Charles Daley website shows discontinued as one of their imports, obviously EAA tookover.

Thanks for all the answers, I'm glad to hear that the looks aren't the only good part. I've got a couple of buddies looking for affordable Sig's after shooting mine ( a factory Refubished), maybe this ones worth a closer look. I would be very happy to know if they're compatible with Sig magazines. I was beyond bummed out when I learned that my Taurus PT92 (Beretta 92 clone) wouldn't take Beretta magazines, nor for that matter would it accept the super rad slide, barrel and mag conversion to .40S&W. That being said, my 92's safety is in a better location (frame) and it's reliable as all get out so it's not much of a loss after all.

My friend, Beretta mags will work with a little minor filing. You know this from watching me fire a Beretta mag with said modifications through my Taurus on our last range trip.

Zastava CZ-99 / Charles Daley ZDA

I used to own a Zastava CZ-99 before my house was burglarized and the gun was stolen. I loved the gun and have been trying to find a replacment ever since. Well balanced. Smooth firing. Built like a tank. It was very SIGish, but much cheaper and came with more bells and whistles. I have since purchased a Charles Daley ZDA, which after some research I discovered is essentially an imported version of the CZ-999 (the CZ-99's successor). So far, the ZDA seems to be every bit as solid. I would recommend this line of Zastava firearms highly, and continue to search for a CZ-99. BTW - the clips from the CZ-99, CZ-999, ZDA, and EEA EZ are all interchangeable.

with some looking on the web, I learned that earlier zastavas have the engagement hole in the magazine placed different from the sig. I plan to compair the ez 9 with a sig 229 tomorrow and see if this is still the case. There is quite a bit of information on these in various web /google locations. The ez seems to be the EAA name for the 4th generation of the zastava cz 99.

The first variety I saw was the Israeli Golan made under contract in Israel.
There was also a version made under contract in south africa.
