I got my Eagle grips today. I got finger position grips for both revolvers, but I got the checkered version for my Colt Trooper and plain smooth for my GP100. I am very impressed with the quality and the fit on both revolvers. I give them a very big thumbs up!!! Below are pics.

Very nice! I especially like the checkered style. Take those guns out and use them!

Good shooting and be safe.

ps: Somehow you got a double post of your thread.

Thanks. My Colt Trooper is the revolver I shoot the most, but I still love my GP100. The fit is perfect on both revolvers. :D :D

I may be seeing it wrong, but that looks like a mighty odd angle for the stocks on the Ruger.

No it's probably the tarded picture I took. I compared the stock grip to the Eagle grip and they are close, although I think the Eagle grip may have a little more of a forward angle, but it is very comfortable. The Trooper grip is actually a Python grip.

Nice

I've also been very pleased with several "Secret Service" grips from Eagle. It's also nice to be able to speak to a real person when you call.

They got those in rubber or nylon Tree Beard?

Glad you are enjoying them. :)

EDIT: Answered my own question by going to the site.

Sure are brutiful though. ;)

The guy on the phone was really nice and I told him that I would post some pics on this forum when I got them. I can't wait to shoot on Monday.

I have no idea how I got a double post!! However.....yes they are nice looking. They fit nice and snug and come together real tight.

I have a couple of sets of the "Heritage" style for a couple of Smiths. They look great and I can't wait to try them on for fit.:)

It so happens Eagle is not too far from me and I am able to stop in for stocks from time to time. It would be hard to imagine more pleasant people.

I liked the look of their Heritage style grips for N-frames. Bought two sets, both needed slight adjustments, but nothing unexpected for not actually sending the gun to the grip manufacturer for individual fit. Well worth the money in my book.

Just put these on the other day. I've used Hogue custom wood. I like the screw attachment on the bottom of the grip over the screw through the middle on the Eagle grips. Seems to be more secure as well. These slip a little. But the wood finish on the Eagle is quality.

Eagle rosewood finish

One note on the "finish" of the Eagle rosewood grips.
I was at Eagle yesterday to get yet another set of Secret Service grips and was asking the gentleman about modifying the grips. He surprised me by saying that there's no finish at all- the rosewood is finish-polished with white jeweler's rouge and that's it.
Rosewood, like many exotic woods, is naturally very oily. Once the surface is polished, the oil just continues to excrete and it protects the surface on its own.
I had gummed up two sets of rosewood grips after modifying them by hitting them with a quick flash of fast-dry urethane varnish. The goo never settled down and dried.
I salvaged the excellent Classics on my D-back by just sanding the whole thing down, finishing with 600 grit, and let the wood do its thing.
