Greetings!

A LGS has an almost unfired .32 H&R Single-Six with the 5 1/2" barrel from 1986. This blued gun has the standard fully adjustable rear sight. Asking price is in the mid-$500's.

Good deal?

Thanks,

Hunter

You could buy a new single seven in 327 federal, stainless, adj sights, for about the same price. You just need to order from Lipsey's and wait a month or two.

Are you looking for a shooter or a collectable?

There's a couple of the new .327 Mag Single Sevens for sale on Gunbroker for around $549 with a Buy It Now price of $600.

Thanks guys!

I wanted to know if this was a potential "get your wallet out now" type of gun, or nothing special.

To tell the truth, this particular gun, though almost brand new, seem to be a bit loose in the end shake and lock-up.

Not too long ago Ruger found a big supply of the Stainless versions and was dumping them at $299 each. Sure wish I had grabbed a couple
I never knew Ruger made any adjustable sighted stainless 32 mags. I have two of the blued adjustable sighted guns with 5.5" barrels and now will have to keep an eye out for a stainless version with adjustable sights.

The original blued adjustable sight guns are commanding collector premiums, especially in collectible condition. A good shooter grade gun will cost you at least $400.

Later on, Ruger introduced the fixed sight version that some dubbed "Vaquerito". These were made in blued and stainless, with the standard grip, an abbreviated grip and a birdshead grip. Apparently they were slow sellers because Davidson's blew them out several years ago (around 2005-2006) and Dad bought two at $269 each.

If it is a 1986 model, a 98% model books at $550. If the frame is marked "SSM", is worth another 20% premium. If it was made 2001 or later, you are around $475 for a gun in the same condition.
