I finally found a decent Single Six in 32 H&R mag. It’s a “New Model” and came with an extra set of grips. I’ve been looking for one in 32 for a number of years and most of the time just could not stomach the price. They’re not getting cheaper, and 3 years ago I would have passed at this one. My new to me Single Six in Stainless

Congrats on a great find!

I think the .32 Single Six Vaqueros are some of the most handsome Ruger SAA revolvers has ever made. My only complaint is that verbose warning stamped on the left side of the barrel -- I wish they'd hide it under the ejector rod housing!

I lucked into a blued/cased example more than a decade back -- it's an all-time keeper for me. I stuck a bullseye ejector on it and one of these days I'd like to treat myself to a set of custom-fitted grips.

I have a 22 in the same “Vaquero “ style with the single blade and groove non-adjustable sights. I too do not like the large warning on the barrel but it is what it is. I can look at the other side itpf I want pretty

I’ll get it out to shoot it in a day or so. Just love the way they point and shoot. Another caliber to reload for as well.

Very cool! I did not know the .32 H&R was offered in a Vaquero, but I have seen the fixed-sighted Birdshead version in .32 H&R so I should’ve known. You will soon find out how much fun loading your own ammo and shooting these mini magnums is.

Mine is a 6.5” Bisley model. I will admit that it is one of my favorite guns to shoot. When you get a chance to shoot it let us know what you think. :)

Stay safe.

What I would love to find is one of these Lipsey 3" Bisley Vaquero Single Sevens -- but I firmly believe production was limited to preorders from Lipsey and Ruger staff!

I can tell you, you're gonna love it!
Finally found a NM SS in 32 mag for myself and love the thing. I've only had the pleasure of shooting 32 longs through it so far but I've got 500 pieces of Mag brass and bullets if I can find the time to get to the loading bench.

Bart You're going to love that .32...hope you reload 'cause it's definitely a reloader's caliber.

I have 4 in that great little caliber: 3 Rugers and a Smith M-16. All are top notch shooters with either cast or jacketed bullets. Thinking back, I can't remember a single load combination that didn't produce good accuracy, and most were excellent. Unique, Win 231, & Bullseye all work well with target to 1000+ fps loads, but for more than that 2400 and 110 have worked well in my use. Bullets: Hornady's XTP's in 85 or 100 grain persuasion are superb, and you'll get good/great expansion at moderate velocities from the 85...gotta push the 100 for it to open up however.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do...here's the pack...Rod

Howdy

Back about 20 years ago when my wife started shooting Cowboy Action with me I thought about buying a pair of those for her, They were easily available at the time. Instead I bought her a pair of 357 Mag New Vaqueros. Probably because I was already loading 38 Special. If I had bought a pair of those for her I probably would have started loading 32 S&W Long for them.

I bought a couple hundred rounds of 32 S&W Long ammo so I would have the brass to reload, but yes I do plan to reload for it. I briefly looked around for H&R Magnum and that is going to be a bit hard to find. Most places are out.

I finally made it to the range. Work kept getting in the way this week as I try to make it over there during lunch.

Shot some target round nose and wadcutter ammo in S&W Long. Wow is all I can say. What a pleasure to shoot. Pretty accurate from what these eyes can see too. :)
I know it's been written hundreds of times about no recoil or recoil like a .22 buts its so true. I shot the same type single six om .22 side by side and you could hardly tell the difference except for a little more noise from the .32. I'm sure the magnums would be more recoil but probably not much. I'm a fan of the 32 now for sure. Looks like I have another caliber to reload for as this is a keeper, and I could see more 32s coming.
