I have been dating this wonderful girl for quite some time now. Not only does she not mind me shooting or carrying, she actually does the same. However, she only has a little ruger mkII .22. So, for xmas I decided to sell my ak47 and buy her the gun that she absolutely loved in the gunshops: a smith and wesson model 642. Not being able to hold out for xmas, I decided to give it to her early. She was ecstatic when she saw the blue case, and was even more excited when she opened it. Fortunately, I was able to get a 642 that had rosewood grips, which are absolutely gorgeous. Having received her present early, she too was excited and decided to give me mine: an XD-40 subcompact! Im thinking its about time to put a ring on the left hand gentlmen. Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

That's awesome. Great story. Congrats on the girl and the new gun.

My wife and I got married in July, and our birthdays were a week apart earlier this month. I got that nice Sp101 I've been eyeing and she got the beautiful Buckmark she wanted. Having a girl that loves guns sure is nice, isn't it?

I also bought my g/f (2 years ago now) a 642. I am almost a firm believer that the 642 is the fastest way to a girl's heart! She also bought me a Savage Stevens 200 in 308 per my request, instead of a heated motorcycle vest.

Good luck on the whole ring deal!

Congrats. !

It's great to hear a love story where the lady actually likes and wants to participate in gun related sports & activities ! Well....it least share in the enthusiasim !
Now take your honey out for a good lunch and then the shooting range for some practice !! LOL !! ;)

Pop the freakin' question to her !!!
Life is too short to alone and lonely !
