Hi, this is my first post, but I've been lurking for a few months. I'm fairly new to guns (I've been to the range 4 times, including today) and don't own any yet. I went to the range earlier today to rent and try their Browning Buckmark. Everything went well except for one jam, which was not any problem to solve, but the jammed round had a couple indentations (from the slide I think) on it and look ever so slightly bent. Being fairly new, I obviously decided not to fire that round again, but I was also unsure of how to dispose of it. I didn't want to just throw it away, especially being a rimfire cartridge, because I assume it could accidentally go off if struck on the rim, so I just brought it home. In hindsight I should have just asked at the range....but anyway, can anyone instruct me on how to safely get rid of the round? Thanks a lot.

Your hindsight was great, you should have given it to range personnel to let them dispose of it. next time you go, bring it to them, see what they say.

All the best,
Glenn B
