I DID IT!!!! Yes I finally got my WIFE to come out of the house and start learning how to reload! :what:

I think she thought I was making things up when I told her that it wasn't easy and that I don't just go out and yank a handle and make a bullet! She now has an appreciation of what I go through when I have to set things up to start a production run of bullets. :banghead:

I started her out on a basic .380 load of 3gr of Win 231 under a 95gr FMJ Round nose with CCI primers for her Ruger LCP.

I showed her the steps for setting up the press. I showed her case prep... de-prime/re-size, re-priming, case mouth expansion, setting up the powder measure and weighing the drops for consistency. Then I showed her how to set up the bullet seating die and use the Micrometer to verify OAL.

After everything was set up, I let her run the press....

She did fantastic and I didn't have to say or correct anything. I pointed out a couple of things to make her process go a bit smoother but all in all, she did Great!!!

I'm very proud of her and am glad she has decided to come see why I spend so much time reloading! I may have to set up one of my other presses for her to use so we can really build some bullets!

I would say your the luckyist guy on earth but my wife bought me a 1050 so we would have more snuggle time;)

While my wife and I were still "dating", she told me she would never go golfing or hunting. I knew I found the right one right there!
I tried doing laundry and I didn't like it, so I can see her point..

Now you can get her started and then hit the couch for a little while.

Words mean things. Unless you are casting or swaging our own bullets, you are producing ammunition or rounds. Bullets are a component of the rounds.
Congratulations on getting your wife out. Now, if only you could get her doing the reloading so you can shoot more...
Sounds like she is a wonderful woman.

now if you can get her to wash the cars, cut the lawn, and take out the garbage, you will have it made(major ducking)
I can answer that one, the other day my wife cut the back grass with the tractor for the first time. I have a really bad back and she didn't want me doing it. What a woman!!!

(Washing the car is still all mine though)

For loading a .380, you need a woman's touch; itty-bitty cases! I have a time with 9mm with my sausage fingers and don't think the .380 would be a bit too hard to handle for me.

My wife used to shoot, and it was fun going with her, but alone is more fun...

I pray that my wife never gets into reloading. I can barely afford my habit!

Just sayin folk....... You boy's may have saddled a bronc you might not wanna ride. JMHO

No high road thoughts coming to mind on that one!

Actually, to tell you the truth, its nice because I can ask my wife to crank me out a few hundred rounds and she will do it. Makes practicing for the bullseye league a little easier sometimes.

Sorry lj if I offended you or anyone else. My post

was more meant as humor. But there is some truth to that statement.

NO offense taken, and I could tell none meant, found it kind of funny. I love these threads, it gives me a chance to brag. Truth is, my wife never shot a gun before she met me. Shooting and reloading is our family activity. We go to the range together, me wife and son and I and reload together.

I wish more guys had that kind of wife!

I'm jealous!
I wish I could just get my wife to go shooting or hunting with me, she will have no part in it. She has her hobbies, mainly, making quilts with the local quilters. I cannot see myself making quilts, although I have given her some wild ideas for quilt blocks in the past! She told me I would make a good quilter. The only thing is, I HATE working with anything that is fabric, carpet, etc. I have tried laying carpet to help out some friends, and I just don't like fighting with the carpet to get it into place.

Give me a repair type project and I can fix about anything.
