I gave Dave Barnett of ElZetta Design (makers of the best 2 and 3 cell tactical flashlights), a Daily Kiri at this year's SHOT Show. He emailed me to say his wife had commandeered it, and sent a link to this video. While I'm delighted to see someone finds the DK useful, I found hearing a woman's perspective about her daily carry knives even more useful.
(The DK in question is a 440C version of the knife below.)

I gave my wife a Kershaw but she uses it more around the house and doesn't keep it in her purse! She keeps a small can of pepper spray in her purse, guess that's better then nothing.

Yeah, it's hard to get my "girl" (hell, we're in our forties  ) to always carry a knife.

My daughter carries a Kershaw Leek on one side and a Leatherman Sidekick on the other. She says her friends think she is nuts but are always borrowing them.

I cant really comment on the blades but would have to say that is one of the best put together videos I have seen. Most videos the men or women dont seem to have control or seem haphazard in what they do. She obviously knows her blades and how to handle them.

Mine carries a Kershaw 1660  and has stolen my Wunderstahl Shirley-Owens SDK:scrutiny:.

That was a really great vid. I wouldn't have thought of most of those points.

My wife carried this one in college:

She used it to open all kinds of things, and noticed men the room would unconsciously cross their legs...

After donating 7 knives to the TSA is finally gave in and stop carrying one in my pocket. My wife got busted twice going through security with one in her purse and had to go mail her knife back to our home. I never have enough time to do that but she collects knives and would miss the flight before losing one. Only once have I made it to the airport with my gun still in my pocket but at least I caught it before I got to security. The knives I just couldn't remember.

I did take a full sized hunting knife with a gut hook to Boston and back without the TSA noticing it. I still don't know why I put it in my computer bag.
