My fathers S&W Standard Service revolver has served him well since he joined the force many many years ago. After retirement, he locked it up and upon opening the case some 11 years later weve found that a rat (or mouse) has chewed through the case outer (the case was a waterproof neoprene or similar polyethylene) and that allowed moisture in to totally wreck the firearm. We stripped it down really well and used brass wool and some hoppes and like solvents but now we cant seem to get the ejector rod back in properly.
Summary: Does anyone have any pictures of a S&W that may tip us off as to how the ejector rod springs are supposed to assemble?
Thanks in advance.
