How many of you are taking precautions for the election outcome?

The RIOTS of course...............

Just like any time the following has happened:

1. Rodney King
2. Cops shoot/kill ethnic miscreant
3. Popular sports team wins/loses a major game
4. Jesse/Sharpton whipping up a crowd.

Face it - the rioters usually have little invested in the cause and take the opportunity to help themselves to electronic goods, appliances, liquor and the like.

So OBAMA win - less likely but possible.
OBAMA lose - almost a sure thing the urban population centers that hold a more "diverse" crowd will be looking for new big screen LCDs.

I am actually leaving the country on election day (not intended) but I have thought about what it is going to be like if the election does not go well and trying to get back in. I hope I don't have to hear about riots or other junk...

I don't think I would really stock up or anything- unless you live in Compton.

No different than other SHTF/post-Katrina/how to prepare threads.............sorry - but just facing the reality of the situation!

And race was never mentioned - but - if you'd like to analyze similar episodes from the past - feel free to draw your own conclusions.

"non-gun related post"

Fine then - what additional preparation for arms and ammo will you have for protection both at home and while you tend your day-to-day activities?

I swear, some people on this forum need to get rid of their tinfoil hats. You might as well bury all your guns too, just in case Obama does get elected and sends the stormtroopers to hunt you down...

No, not directly, but suggested and hinted at with the nuance of a derailed freight train given all your examples and implied suggestions. If not, "diverse" how exactly, then?

Like diversity between left-handed people and right-handed people?
Like diversity between women and men?
Like diversity between college grads and high school grads?
Like diversity between blue collar workers and white collar workers?
Like diversity between cat lovers and dog lovers?
Like diversity between singles versus couples?

I wish people would just say what they mean instead of being passive-aggressive by tiptoeing around, then acting insulted when someone questions. Say what you mean. We're not 4th graders.

+1

edited. (I didn't need to reiterate something so well put.)

Given that the spin is the only way Obama can lose is because of racism in America I would not be surprised to see rioting in inner city Black areas if he in fact loses. I would almost bet on it and I would also not be surprised to see blogs etc threatening/"predicting" exactly that outcome. Nothing unreasonable here.
As for precautions, the usual HD things we always talk about.

Not enough people around here for a poor mob, let alone a good old fashioned riot. Ain't even an electronics store in town worth looting.

oh yeah...ibtl!!

I am not too concerned about my area of the world. I would not want to be in Chicago or Detroit on election night of an Obama loss.

Should we be most concerned with the day after the elections?

Or the day 4-5 months later when the courts make their final rulings?

DO I think something is gonna happen? no.

Will i be prepared? you'd bet!!!

Long guns ready as primary defense. Pistols for back-up.

Now were getting somewhere!... great post from Florida of all places ;)

Hmmmm, in addition to the "election" should we have similar concerns over:

> Increased crime due to desperate home owners facing foreclosure

> Riots by workers that have lost their jobs because those jobs were sent overseas

> Civil unrest from the masses with no medical insurance and in need of medical services for selves or family

> An uprising by retiree's when Social Security taps out

> Total chaos when the entire financial structure of the US falls apart and drags everything else with it ...

So what do ya think folks ... wanta add a couple more "concerns"???

Or do you want to just settle for being prepared (best as you can) for whatever "crapola" comes down the line ?????????

:fire: :banghead:
